This Cookie Policy explains which cookies our website, aitaca.io, uses, who sets them, what they are for and how long they last. It also explains how you can accept, refuse or withdraw your consent at any time.
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser so that it can recognise the browser on a later visit or page. Cookies that aitaca.io sets itself are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company's service embedded in our pages are third-party cookies. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as values a script keeps in your browser's local storage, and calls all of them "cookies".
We group cookies into the same four categories as our cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are always active. The other three categories are off until you switch them on, and nothing in them is loaded before you do, with one exception: the Calendly calendar on our Contact page also loads when you click "Book a demo" there (see 2.2). The durations below are the ones each provider sets. Some browsers keep cookies for less time: Chrome, for example, keeps none for longer than 400 days.
These cookies are needed for the website to work and to keep it secure, so they do not require your consent. They remember your cookie choice, protect our contact form and our sign-in page from automated abuse, and keep you signed in to a restricted-access area of the website.
The same bot check also keeps a few values of its own in your browser's local storage. They are used only for that check.
Functional cookies make embedded features work. On our Contact page we embed Calendly, the scheduling service we use to book demos. If you accept functional cookies, the calendar loads with the page. If you do not, it stays closed until you click "Book a demo" to open it.
Once the calendar loads, Calendly and the services it uses inside the calendar set their own cookies on their own domains. We do not control these cookies and they may change without notice. Calendly's Privacy Notice explains how Calendly uses cookies. These are the ones we have seen:
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages are useful. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all. Google Analytics sets these first-party cookies on aitaca.io:
If you withdraw your analytics consent, we delete these two cookies from your browser straight away and reload the page, so Google Analytics stops. Google explains how it uses this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
With your consent we load the Meta pixel, from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., which tells Meta that a page of our website was viewed, so that we can measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. At the date of this policy the Meta pixel sets no cookies on aitaca.io; if that changes, we will list them here. If you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram in the same browser, Meta's own cookies on its domains are covered by Meta's Cookies Policy.
If you withdraw your marketing consent, the page reloads and the Meta pixel stops.
Our Product and Results pages load their chart and map libraries from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net), a public file service. Like any request on the web, this sends your IP address and browser details to jsDelivr, but it sets no cookies.
On your first visit, a banner asks for your choice. You can accept all categories, reject all of them, or choose category by category under "Manage preferences". Strictly necessary cookies are always on. Everything else stays off until you switch it on, except the calendar on our Contact page, which also loads when you click "Book a demo" (see 2.2). We keep your choice for 182 days and then ask again.
You can change your mind at any time, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: use "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page of our public website, or the button below. When you switch a category off, we delete the cookies it set on aitaca.io and reload the page, so nothing from that category keeps running. Cookies that Calendly and its providers set on their own domains cannot be deleted by our website; they expire on their own, or you can delete them in your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Blocking third-party cookies stops the Calendly, Cloudflare, OneTrust and Stripe cookies listed above. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the banner will ask for your choice on every page, the contact form may fail its security check, and the restricted-access area will not keep you signed in. Where a cookie involves personal data, you have the rights described in our Privacy Policy: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting what was done with it before. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
We update this policy whenever the cookies on our website change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
